Introduction

To activate the platform's “sub-status” feature (available only for these CSV Import Hardware Inventory, JSON API, and ServiceNow ), you'll need to supply the following CSV before any hardware inventory integration.

CSV columns

field name description format
sub_status_one First substatus field representing a possible state of the asset. Usually being considered as the status. (for instance Out of Stock ) STRING
sub_status_two Second substatus field representing a possible state of the asset. Usually being considered as the sub status. (for instance Donated) STRING

Steps

1- First, customers provide all the statuses and sub-statuses they use to classify their assets.

2- The Sopht team then works with customers to map these assets into status groups that share similar behaviors. These groups are:

Status groups Definition Statuts Sopht Carbon impact Example
In maintenance equipment that is in stock but not in use, requiring repair or replacement of components. IN STOCK Scope 2 = 0
Scope 3 = +factor maintenance Reparing,
maintenance…
Pending equipment that is currently or soon to be in stock, but not in use. IN STOCK Scope 2 = 0
Scope 3 Ordred,
pending to install,
Reserved…
Normal Use equipment currently being used by employees. IN USE Scope 2
Scope 3 Available,
Use….
Sustainable EOL* equipment no longer in stock that will be repurposed. OUT OF STOCK Scope 2 = 0
Scope 3 = -carbon credit Refurbished,
Given…
Negative EOL* equipment out of stock with no planned reuse strategy. OUT OF STOCK Scope 2 = 0
Scope 3 Lost,
Missing…
Error Creation entries with input errors that have been corrected in separate lines or deleted. OUT OF STOCK Scope 2 = 0
Scope 3 = 0 Error

3- After assigning sub-states to their respective state groups and CSM validation, these updates must be shared with the tech team to modify the parameter table and implement the corresponding methodologies.

Sample CSV

Here's an example of all the potential “sub-statuses” of all the materials present in a dummy customer inventory (table on the left).

Using this CSV, Sopht will then be able to match each of these combinations to a precise emission calculation methodology, qualified by a “group_status” (table on the right created in-house at Sopht).
