Quick Overview

Purpose: Collects virtual machine inventory and performance metrics from VMware vCenter infrastructure for on-premise monitoring.

Key Information:

Data Collected:
- Clusters: Cluster ID, name, entrypoint
- Hosts (Physical Servers): CPU specs, memory size, hardware details
- Virtual Machines: VM configuration, CPU/memory allocation, cluster membership
- Metrics: CPU usage, RAM consumption, disk usage (percentages and bytes)

Setup Requirements:

vCenter version: 7.X or higher (not compatible with v6.X)
vCenter Base URL (HTTPS)
vCenter User with "Sopht" role (read-only permissions)
vCenter Password
Network access: Port 443 to vCenter API and backbone.sopht.com

Technical Details:

Minimum machine config: 1 CPU, 2GB RAM, 10GB storage
